Shingani Gudda is one of the major peaks in Charmadi range in western Karnataka. Close by are other well known peaks like Amedikkalu and Sibile Gudda. At the base of the peak lies the small village of Arasinamakki. Arasinamakki is about 20 kms off from Shiradi on the National Highway 48 that goes through Hassan to Mangalore.

Guide and food can be arranged by Stream of Joy Home Stay which is on the bank of Kapila river (the homestay is pretty costy). Playing in the knee -deep water of Kapila is another fun. There are many birds for bird watchers in the jungles and along the Kapila. There is no water at the peak, but it is available if you come down from the peak for about 20 minutes walk and it is an ideal caming site too. During and post monsoon, this place becomes infested with leeches and almost inaccessable.

Night Jungle walk:
Walk through the jungle and some Adivasi colonies for 8 km. One will reach highway from there. Either one can walk back through the road which is 13 km. Or return through the same jungle. Ideal for trekking enthusiast.

River walk (optional):
Shishila to Arasinamakki. This trek is through water body. Walk through plantation, river bed and some times through the river. Extremely interesting. Takes nearly three hours. Ideal for trekking enthusiast only.
