History of Qadam-E-Rasool Mosque: |
Qadam-e-Rasool is the most beautiful monuments of the Cuttack, which is the historical evidences was built by Shujaddin Khan. This mosques is of great importance for the Muslim community of Cuttack as it has its roots in the 18th century A.D. It comes from believe in Islam that when Muhammad stepped on a rock his footprint left an imprint. It is one of the most visited pilgrimages. The holy of Qadam-e-Rasool has been made by a Hindu King and is visited by both Hindu and Muslims. |
The entire mosque has nine minarets and a big one right at the center which holds the crescent and the star. There are several fine architectural works on the entire mosque, it has been increasing its beauty. Interior roof of the mosque has been painted with designs of beautiful flowers and plants of various varieties. |
